About Kyle's Story
Who Am I? — Forged in the Pits of Hell
Viewer discretion advised
This story discusses suicide, trauma, and violence that some viewers may find distressing.
This documentary tells the true story of how trauma, psychology, and knowledge rebuilt my life. How trauma, violence, and abandonment shaped a life — and how knowledge, psychology, and relentless self-examination rebuilt it.
The Monster Within - Built by Trauma
Early in life, I experienced significant trauma which influenced how I thought and behaved in ways I did not understand at the time. For years, those patterns ran automatically until I made the decision to understand them properly.
That decision led me into psychology. I completed my GCSEs and A-levels, then a BSc in Psychology, then an MSc in Forensic Psychology — while working full-time in NHS psychiatric intensive care units, crisis response teams, and probation services, and raising my son.
The work I did in those NHS settings — with people whose behaviour had consequences measured in years of their lives — is where this methodology was tested. Not in a seminar room. In psychiatric intensive care units, in crisis, under real pressure.
That is the experience behind E.P.I.C Psychology. Not a certificate from a weekend course. Not a book read and applied. Lived experience, academic rigour, and clinical reality — all in the same person.
