Frequently Asked Questions
If something is stopping you from booking, it’s probably answered here.
No. E.P.I.C Psychology is psychology coaching — not clinical therapy. Kyle is a Psychologist and Behavioural Scientist, not a therapist. The work focuses on understanding and changing the patterns and thinking structures driving your behaviour.
Yes. Sessions are available both in person (Lincoln) and online. The methodology works equally well in both formats. Most clients work online.
That depends on what you’re working on and how you engage with the process. The Breakthrough Programme runs 13–16 weeks. The discovery call will help Kyle understand your situation and recommend the right structure for you.
CBT helps you understand and challenge unhelpful thoughts after they happen. The EPIC method — informed by Metacognitive Therapy, CBT, ACT, and Schema therapy — teaches you to manage thinking patterns as they happen, in real time.
Most coaching focuses on mindset, goals, or motivation — it works at the surface. EPIC works at the level of the pattern itself, the automatic system driving the behaviour. If previous approaches haven’t worked, it’s likely because they addressed what you do without addressing what is driving it.
The discovery call exists to answer exactly that. It’s a free conversation. Kyle will ask about where you are, what you’ve tried, and what’s not working. If EPIC is the right fit, he’ll say so. If it isn’t, he’ll tell you that too.
A 30–45 minute conversation. Kyle will ask about your patterns, what you’ve tried, and what you want to change. No obligation to proceed.
Pricing is not displayed on this site. The discovery call is where that conversation happens — after Kyle understands your situation properly. The call itself is free.
No. E.P.I.C Psychology is for high-functioning individuals who are stuck — not for people in clinical crisis or acute mental health need. If you are in crisis, please contact your GP or a crisis service.
Yes. All sessions are completely confidential. Kyle operates to the professional and ethical standards expected of a practising psychologist.
